KARACHI: The inaugural Multiminds Open Tennis Championship will get under way from Sunday (today) at the DA Creek Club here.

The organisers have received 120 plus entries for various events of the championship carrying Rs50,000 in prize money.

The tournament will be held under the auspices of Sindh Tennis Association (STA) which has finalised the seedings of various events. Nauman Aftab is the top seed in men’s singles while Zoha Asim is the top seed in the women’s singles. The same status is enjoyed by Rayyan Jawad in the U-15 event. Ashar Mir is top seed in U-13, Duruf Das in U-11 contest and Eibad Sarwar in soft tennis for men.
