Rayyan wins U-15 tennis crown

KARACHI: Nameer Shamsi outplayed Vinod Das in the mens singles semifinal while Rayyan Jawad got the better of Ashar Mir to win the under-15 title in the 1st Multiminds Open Tennis here on Friday.

In the girls under-17 semifinal, Vareesha Khan outclassed Aroob Khan to reach the final.

The event carries a prize money of Rs 50,000.

Mens Singles (semifinal) Nameer Shamsi bt Vinod Das 6-1, 6-3

U-13 (semifinal) Taha Aman bt Muzamil Hyder 6-2, 6-2

U-15 (final) Rayyan Jawad bt Ashar Mir 7-5,6-4

Girls U-17 (semifinal) Vareesha Khan bt Aroob Khan 6-0, 6-0

Soft Tennis (semifinal) Eibad Sarwar bt Usama Saeed 5-1; Robin Das bt Vinod Das 5-2.
