HYDERABAD: Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) chairman Syed Mustafa Kamal has said he is not concerned about general election because he is sure his party will receive enough votes to transform the course of history.

Mr Kamal said at his party’s general workers convention at Pucca Qila ground late on Saturday night that if members of his party failed to serve people he would do away with the party without any delay.

He said the number of activists and supporters was growing at such rapid pace that that it would be impossible to hold the next public meeting in a ground. Those who had been exploiting the name of Mohajir for 35 years did nothing but take people’s lives, he said.

He said that he was not worried about general election because he was sure his party representatives would get enough votes to transform the course of history.

Mr Kamal said that after his party won election, he would be concerned about the performance of elected representatives.

People should elect their representatives on the basis of his or her character, he said, adding that people of Karachi and Hyderabad had already given their decision in favour of “true leadership”.

He said that many political activists who had remained associated with a party for say 35 years or above had quit the party and joined PSP even at risk to their lives.

He said that after historic public meeting at Liaquatabad on Dec 24, people of Karachi had proved that they had buried forever ethnic, dynastic and hate-based politics.

PSP Hyderabad district president Nadeem Qazi also spoke while PSP president Anis Qaimkhan and other leaders were also present on the occasion.
