JHANG: Jhang police occupies the eighth position in the province and second slot in the Faisalabad region as far as the arrest of proclaimed offenders is concerned.

According to District Police Officer Liaqat Ali Malik, Jhang police arrested 17,129 accused in 2017, including 2906 proclaimed offenders, 624 court absconders and 156 habitual criminals.

He said 61 cases of murder were registered during the year, all of which were traced and the accused were arrested, 39 cases of attempted murder and 405 hurt cases were also registered during this period.

The DPO said full security had been provided to the Chinese workers and engineers working on the LNG plant of Haveli Bahadar Shah and M-4 motorway section passing through the Jhang district.
