LAHORE: Customs officials on Wednesday arrested a Czech Republic woman for allegedly smuggling a big quantity of heroin from Lahore airport.

According to an official at the airport, Tereza Hluskova, 21, was to leave for Abu Dhabi when the Customs officials found 9kg heroin concealed in her luggage. He said Ms Hluskova managed to cross a security check before a Custom official detected heroin in her luggage.

In custody, the woman denied concealing the contraband in her luggage.
