PROTEST: The protesting members of the all sub-engineers association, Kohat division, have threatened to stage a sit-in at Banigala residence of PTI chief Imran Khan if their demand of upgradation was not accepted.

The pen-down protest by the sub-engineers entered the fifth day on Friday.

The protesters said if their demand was not immediately accepted they would meet law minister Imtiaz Shahid Qureshi, chairman standing committee on information MPA Ziaullah Bangash and adviser to the PTI chief, former governor Syed Iftikhar Hussain Shah, to apprise them of their reservations. And as a last resort, a sit-in would be staged at Banigala on Jan 15.

A protest meeting of the sub-engineers was held chaired by their association’s divisional president Malik Imdad. The central secretary general of the cultural wing of PTI visited the protesters’ camp and assured them that their demand of upgradation would be met soon.
