TAXILA: The Jamiat Ulema Islam- Sami (JUI-S) has announced its party candidates for two national and five provincial seats. A party meeting was held at the Markaz Darkhwasti Manoonagar Hassanabdal to discuss matters regarding the upcoming elections. After consultation with party leaders, the JUI-S has announced Dr Attique Ur Rehman and Maulana Sherzaman as candidates for the national assembly seat of NA-57 and Mufti Tajud Din for NA-59.

Mufti Ameer Zaman and Qari Mohammad Ibrahim were nominated for PP-15, Maulana Mohammad Naeem, Sahibzada Qammar Ul Islam and Qari Aziz Ur Rehman for PP-16, Mufti Shahabud Din for PP-17, Qari Abdul Rauf Awan and Maulana Fakharud Din for PP-18 while Mufti Saeedur Rehman and engineer Haroon Ramzan were nominated for PP-19.

Local leaders announced that the party will not make an alliance with any party or group for the elections.
