KARACHI: The Sindh Tennis Association on Monday issued its annual rankings of players who accumulated impressive ranking points in various events played during the calendar year 2017.

In the Men’s Singles, Farhan Altaf snatched top position from Aqeel Shabbir by accumulating 80 ranking points. Aqeel slipped to second spot with 70 ranking points while Eibad Sarwar is ranked third with 60 points and Vinod Das at 4th with 55 points.

In the Ladies Singles, Urooj Iltifat and Hania Naveed are both at top position with 110 pts each, Apsra Shiraz at second spot with 55 points, Varisha Khan at third with 50 points and Eraj Batool at fourth position with 45pts.

In the juniors under-17 Singles, Sahibzada Muhammad Ali with 40 points topped the charts while Muhammad Nauman Aftab & Noor-e-Mustafa , Muhammad Dada at 30 points each are sharing the second spot.

Eibad Sarwar, Zubair Raja, Parbat Kumar are third with 25 points each while Mujahidullah Khatak at 20 points is ranked fourth.

In the Under-15 Singles, Rayan Jawad topped the rankings with 40 points while Hashish Kumar with 35 points is second. Third is Samad Areejo and Muhammad Dada with 30 points each .

Muhammad Yahya Ehtisham, a brilliant player, has topped the 100 points while Mahatir Muhammad and Farooq Atiq bagged 40 points each. Yousuf Haleem have 25 pts and Saim Danish 20 pts.

In the Soft Tennis Men’s Singles, Robin Das is first with 130 pts, second is Eibad Sarwar with 85 points, third Kamran Ahmed 65 points, 4. Asad Khan 40 points. 55 plus Singles.1. Razi Nawab 40 points, 2. Sabih Wali 30 points. 3. Javed Aghra Wala & Zafar Hasan 25 points each.
