KARACHI: The regular training in the national hockey camp begins from Tuesday, a spokesman for the Pakistan Hockey Federa­tion (PHF) said on Monday.

The probables invited by the PHF started arriving at the Abdul Sattar Edhi Hockey Stadium since Monday morning.

The camp has been set-up in preparation for a hectic international schedule that begins with the Common­wealth Games being held at Gold Coast, Australia, from April 4 to 15.

The Commonwealth Games will be followed by Champions Trophy in The Netherlands, the Asian Games at Jakarta and finally the World Cup in India.

Ex-Olympian Hasan Sar­dar will assume new role as manager/head coach and will be assisted by Mohammad Saqlain and Rehan Butt.
