LAHORE: Lahore High Court Chief Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah has directed the judge of the anti-terrorism court (ATC) seized with the Zainab murder case to hold day-to-day hearing of the trial after submission of the challan by the police.

In a directive issued through registrar office, ATC-I Judge Sheikh Sajjad Ahmad has been directed to strictly observe provisions of section 19(7) & 8 of Anti Terrorism Act 1997 and to ensure decision of the case/FIR on day-to-day basis.

The ATC judge has granted the police 14-day physical remand of Imran Ali, the suspected killer of Zainab.
