QUETTA: An official of the Anti-Terrorism Force (ATF) was shot dead in Kechi Baig area here on Sunday, said police.

They said that Ahmed Khan was at his friend’s shop when unidentified men opened fire on him, killing him on the spot.

The body was taken to hospital for autopsy, police added.

The victim used to work at the ATF training center during the night time and at his friend’s tailor shop in the day.

No group has so far claimed responsibility for the killing.

Investigations were under way.
