TIMERGARA: Jamaat-i-Islami chief Sirajul Haq on Monday said the corrupt rulers had destroyed the state institutions which needed overhaul.

Addressing a party gathering at his native Maskini Darra village here, the JI chief blamed the rulers for the culture of bribe, nepotism, exploitation and discrimination.

During his visit to Dir, the JI chief will inaugurate several development projects, including the Khazana Bypass Bridge, and also attend party’s functions.

He insisted that the JI was struggling for making Pakistan a corruption-free, clean and green country.

He promised to establish the rule of law and end corruption if the JI came to power.

Mr Haq said former prime minister Nawaz Sharif was insisting that the courts were unable to deliver justice, but he did not admit that the rulers were the cause of injustices and lawlessness in the country. He said the country was rich in natural and human resources but the corrupt rulers had plundered it.

Meanwhile, scores of PTI workers in Haya Serai Maidan announced to join the JI during a function held at Sher Khani village with Balambat tehsil nazim Imranuddin in the chair.

A prominent businessman Fazal Rabi of Sangolai village affiliated with the PTI announced to join the JI at a separate function.

UNIFORM EDUCATION SYSTEM: JI lawmaker Izazul Mulk Afkari has said the government should ensure uniform education system in the country.

He was addressing the concluding function of ‘Tameer-i-Seerat tuition’ centre arranged by the Islami Jamiat Tulba at government centennial model high school, Timergara, on Monday. He asked youth and activists of the IJT to prepare for securing the ideological boundaries of the country.
