FAISALABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested on Monday an alleged human trafficker for sending a person to Libya who had died with other 31 Pakistanis when as boat capsized near the coast of Libya on Jan 31. Most of the deceased were from Gujranwala division.

FIA Deputy Director Sajid Akram said the Pakistanis along with others were to be smuggled to Italy in a rickety boat from Libya. Among the deceased was Muhammad Aziz, of Mohallah Faisal Town of Sargodha.

Three teams were constituted to contact family of the deceased person and arrest the agents.

He said they had arrested alleged agent Muhammad Idrees, of Sargodha.
