NEW DELHI: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s wife, Jashodaben, was injured and the driver of her car killed in Rajasthan on Wednesday.

The Hindu newspaper said two other women and an SPG commando were injured in the road accident near Begu on the Kota-Chittorgarh four-lane highway.

Ms Jashodaben has often said she wants to live with her husband, but he has never acknowledged the marriage other than once, in a mandatory election commission declaration.
