MARDAN: Mardan District Nazim Himayatullah Mayar Advocate has demanded of the authorities to register FIR against those who, what he alleged, had committed negligence in the rape and murder of four-year-old Asma and tried to change the direction of the case by hiding the facts.

The district nazim was speaking at a press conference here on Wednesday.

He urged the relevant authorities to lodged FIR against Chief Minister Pervez Khattak, provincial information minister Shah Farman and PTI provincial lawmaker Iftikhar Ali Mashwani as they had allegedly tried to change direction of the case.

He also accused district police officer Dr Mian Saeed Ahmad and provincial leadership of PTI of playing negative role in the gruesome incident of the minor girl of Gujargari area.

He lauded the Mardan-based journalists for their bold reporting on the case despite negative role of PTI provincial and local leadership and police of Mardan.

He thanked and appreciated the government of Punjab for helping to trace out the real culprit in the case.

The district nazim also announced to hold protest demonstrations in all tehsils of the district against the Mardan police and PTI government.
