HYDERABAD: Foreign and local artists set a record by making a joint 22-metre-long painting at the five-day Second International Watercolour Biennale 2018 titled Pearls of Peace Season-II held at the Centre of Excellence in Arts and Design (CEAD) of the Mehran University of Engineering & Technology (MUET), Jamshoro, on Friday.

The event, inaugurated on Wednesday, has been organised by CEAD in collaboration with the International Watercolour Society (IWS).

The paintings on display depicted Sindh and its culture, especially the Thar region and its landscapes with various concepts.

They thronged the corridors going towards A.R. Nagori Gallery where 444 paintings from 60 countries are put on display and 20 foreign artists and more than 50 local artists keep sharing their experiences with the visitors.

Fifteen foreign artists, including Liu Yi of China, Ze Ze of Hong Kong, Endre Penovac of Serbia and others, and another 10 local ones participated in making history by painting a 22-metre-long sheet at a lawn of CEAD while carrying various thoughts focusing on Tharparkar.
