ISLAMABAD: After an interval of several years former legislator Kashmala Tariq is again in the limelight as she has been appointed ombudsperson on harassment of women at workplaces for a period of four years.

A notification issued by the law minister on Tuesday said: “The President of Pakistan has been pleased to appoint Ms Kashmala Tariq as Ombudsperson under section 7(2) of Protection against Harassment of Women at the Work Places Act-2010 read with section 21 of the Federal Ombudsmen Institution Reforms Act-2013 for a period of four years with effect from the date of taking oath of the office.”
