ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau on Thursday decided to initiate an inquiry against Minister for Inter Provincial Coordination Riaz Hussain Pirzada, Director General of Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) Akhtar Ganjera and Deputy DG Mansoor Ali Khan for alleged corruption in different affairs of the board.

According to a NAB spokesperson, the action against the sitting minister and the top PSB officials has been taken on the basis of complaints submitted against them.

The complaints said the accused were involved in different wrongdoings during the past four-year term of the present government, including irregularities in previous and new projects like Narowal Sports City, uplift work in Liaquat Gymnasium, distribution of funds to different sports federations, foreign visits of the minister and the two PSB officials with their family members on the state expense, misuse of funds and dilapidated conditions of stadiums in different parts of the country.
