HYDERABAD, May 13: The District Coordination Officer of Hyderabad has approved seven charitable projects submitted by volunteer organisations of the district at a total cost of Rs10.63 million under the Sindh Devolved Social Service Programme.

These projects aimed at extending health and education services to the people of the district.

Presiding over a meeting here on Friday, DCO Mohammad Hussain Syed discussed feasibility of the projects, presented by different NGOs, and approved grands of Rs3.99 million for the construction of private rooms for paediatric patients at the Red Crescent General Hospital Unit No.6 Latifabad, Hyderabad, Rs3.26 million approved for construction of ground floor nursery wing and private rooms at Mohammadi General Hospital unit No.5 Latifabad, Hyderabad, Rs1.21 million for establishment of Diagnostic Asthma Care Clinic at TB Clinic Latifabad Unit No.6 Hyderabad, and Rs.0.615 million for the Bhittai Welfare Association Jhando Khoso village to provide 24 hours health services through existing facilities.
