Ambassador of Kuwait Nassar Abdulraham J. Al-Mutaira welcomed guests to a reception held to celebrate Kuwait’s 57th Independence Day and 27th Liberation Day.

The first marks the end of Kuwait being a British protectorate in 1961, while the second celebrates Kuwait regaining full sovereignty on 26 Feb 1991, after the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait.

Federal Education Minister Mohammad Balighur Rehman was invited as the chief guest.

In their brief speeches, the ambassador and Mr Rehman underlined the cordial relations between the two countries.
