SWABI: Bodies of two youngsters were found in fields near the Pehur High Level Canal here on Wednesday, said police.

The victims identified as Mohammad Fayaz and Mohammad Tariq belonged to Saleem Khan village.

Their families said they had gone out of their houses on Tuesday, and when the youth did not return, they started search for them.

It was learnt that both the victims worked in a bakery in Polodand Chowk and their colleagues said they usually had long talks with unknown people on their phones.

The police reached the spot after the locals informed them about the presence of two bodies in the fields.

Both were brutally killed before being thrown into the fields.

However, the motive behind their killing was not known.

Registering FIR in the Swabi city police station, Gohar Zaman, brother of deceased Fayaz, said they had no enmity with anyone and the cause of the incident was not known. Police said they had started investigation.

Meanwhile, Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-F has expelled Topi tehsil council member over alleged involvement in anti-party activities.

JUI-F central naib chief told mediapersons on Wednesday that they had information Topi tehsil councillor Irfan Jadoon was harming the party in Gadoon Amazai. The decision was taken at a meeting.
