QUETTA: The president of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf’s (PTI), Balochistan chapter, Sardar Yar Muhammad Rind, has said that steps must be taken to end the sense of deprivation prevailing among the people of Balochistan, claiming that all previous governments did nothing for the province’s development and for solving problems of its people.

Speaking at a public meeting in Dalbandin’s town of Chagai district, he backed PTI chief Imran Khan’s support for independent senators-elect from Balochistan in election of Senate chairman.

He criticised the PML-N and PPP governments and said they did nothing for the development of Balochistan.

“They (leaders of the two political parties) remained busy in loot and plunder of national resources and wealth,” Mr Rind alleged, claiming that the federal government released Rs850 billion for the development of Balochistan, but not a single penny was spent on the betterment and progress of the province.
