HARIPUR: A teenage girl and a man were found dead in a house in Kot Najibullah village here on Tuesday, police said.

They quoted the family sources as saying that they found the bodies of Raja Mansoor, 23, and the girl, 19, residents of the same village from the guest room of the former’s house.

The police took the bodies to Kot Najibullah Rural Health Centre where the doctors said a poisonous substance had caused the death of the two. They said that the circumstantial evidence showed that both had committed suicide, but investigation would prove the motive behind the deaths.

Meanwhile, two persons were killed in a road accident in Shah Mohammad area here on Tuesday.

According to police, a car (RIL-824) going to Abbottabad and a Karachi-bound coach (BSA 09) collided head on near Shah Mohammad village, leaving Qaisar Shah, son of Masoom Shah of Mansehra, dead on the spot and his relative Fayaz Shah critically injured. The injured was taken to the district headquarters hospital where he was also pronounced dead.

CLEANLINESS: The Haripur district administration and tehsil municipal administration arranged a walk on Tuesday to highlight the importance of cleanliness in the city.

Led by additional deputy commissioner Saiful Islam and tehsil municipal officer Shoaib Khan, the students of different private and public sector schools marched from Tank Chowk to Fawara Masjid Chowk.

The participants were carrying placards inscribed with slogans highlighting the importance cleanliness. The speakers urged the students and citizens to ensure cleanliness in their neighbourhoods.
