NAWABSHAH: John G. Robinson, the head of political and economic affairs at the US consulate general in Karachi, along with Adam Zerbinopoulos, who heads the political unit, visited Nawabshah on Thursday.
Sindh Law Minister Ziaul Hassan Lanjar welcomed the diplomats to his farmhouse and hosted a dinner, which was attended by some Pakistan Peoples Party MPs, government functionaries and notables of the Shaheed Benazirabad and Naushahro Feroze districts.
The US envoys had proceeded to Nawabshah for an overnight stay after visiting Sanghar district.
They also met activists of various non-governmental organisations, including Community Development Foundation (CDF) and Child Rights Advocacy Network to discuss with them US-funded development and education projects and public welfare schemes of their respective areas.
