CHITRAL: In the fourth incident of suicide during the current week, another teenage boy committed suicide by consuming poison in Ayun area of Chitral on Monday.

Police identified the boy as Mohammad Saqib, 17, of Osiak village of Drosh, who died while being shifted to the DHQ hospital, after he consumed rat killing poison, over rejection of his marriage proposal.

Police said they were conducting inquiry into the incident to know the exact reason under section 174 of CrPC after conducting postmortem of the body.

In the earlier incidents, two girls and a boy had committed suicide in different villages.

TERMINATED: The Chitral deputy commissioner on Monday ordered termination of two employees of health department for negligence during the last anti-polio campaign in the district.

He took the decision during a meeting of the district polio eradication committee on Monday.

The DC ordered termination of an EPI vaccinator and a medical technician. He also ordered transfer of a number of officials of the department to remote areas as punishment.
