NOWSHERA: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak on Monday claimed that if all political parties contested the coming general elections together, the PTI would trounce them to form the next governments in the centre and provinces.
He was addressing a public meeting in Aman Kot area here, where activists of ANP, QWP and other political parties, announced the joining of the PTI.
The CM said the ANP, PPP, PML-N and Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal had disappointed the people by bad performance during their respective terms in powers and that the leaders of those parties and alliances also broke corruption record and stashed loots in foreign bank accounts.
He claimed that the people from across the country would support Imran Khan and his agenda of countrywide change in the next elections.
Mr Khattak said the people were impressed by the good governance, rule of merit and generation of massive employment opportunities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the PTI government.
“We’ve completely ended political interference in government institutions, including education, health, police and others,” he said, adding that the people won’t be deceived by hollow slogans of other political parties.

The CM said the political parties other than the PTI had got votes from poor people promising them development but didn’t fulfil those promises after coming to power.
He said after former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, it was the turn of Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and PPP leader Asif Zardari’s turn to face accountability.
Mr Khattak said the rival political parties were criticising the PTI to keep themselves alive politically.
He said he and his family members had never misused powers and worked for the people’s development and therefore, enjoyed the people’s confidence.
The CM said the government had made record legislation in the province and reformed the system of governance for the welfare of the poor people.
He said corruption and nepotism had ended in the province due to the reforms introduced by his government.
Mr Khattak said a new era of development had begun in the province after the end of corrupt practices in government departments.
He criticised ANP provincial president Ameer Haider Khan Hoti for failing to deliver during his term as the CM.
“Mr Hoti should inform the people about what he’d done for them during his rule,” he said.
The CM said the recent ANP public meeting in Pir Paye area of Nowshera a flop and said most of the local residents didn’t bother to attend in the event.

MNA Imran Khattak, district nazim Liaquat Khattak and PTI leaders Ahad Khattak and Zulfiqar Aziz were noted among the speakers.
