LAHORE: Nine different teams have set up their respective training camps in different cities to prepare their outfits for the upcoming National Challenge Football Cup set to be staged in Karachi from April 20 to May 10.

The teams which have kicked off preparation are Army, Wapda, Pakistan Air Force, Khan Research Laboratories, PIA, Ashraf Sugar Mills, Karachi Port Trust, Asia Ghee Mills and Navy.

The camps started in Rawalpindi, Lahore, Peshawar, Karachi, and Bahawalpur.

Overall, 24 affiliated units of the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) have confirmed their participation in the tournament.

Meanwhile, a spokesman of the PFF said Pakistan Ordinance Factories, Wah Cantt and CAA have also applied for registering in the event.
