KHAIRPUR: Wind storm followed by heavy rain lashed several areas in the district on Friday, bringing down temperatures and making weather pleasant.

Achhrro Thar, Sikandarabad, Pirano Pattan, Nara Gate, Kathore, Tajjal Sharif and their adjoining areas in Nara taluka received the rain.

The heat weary residents of the areas were overjoyed at the showers but growers feared it would damage the piles of harvested wheat lying in fields.
