GWADAR: A non-commissioned officer of the Frontier Corps (FC) lost his life in an armed attack in Turbat town of Kech district on Saturday evening.

Police said assailants riding a motorcycle opened fire on Subedar Muhammad Wasim when he was passing through a street.

“The FC official received multiple bullet injuries and died on the spot,” a senior police officer said.

Police and FC personnel shifted the body to the District Hospital.

Security forces cordoned off the area, launched a search operation to trace out the assailants and took some suspects into custody for interrogation.
