LAHORE: Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly Mian Mahmoodur Rasheed has called the opposition parliamentary parties’ meeting on Monday (today) for consultation on the installation of caretaker government in Punjab.
A PTI spokesman says the parliamentary party meeting will also be held before the opposition parties’ meeting, wherein candidates for the caretaker chief minister of Punjab will be discussed.
The opposition leader will present consensus candidate’s name for caretaker chief minister to the chief minister. The opposition leader said the PTI would play its role in holding free and fair elections in the country.
Meanwhile, the PTI central Punjab leadership made final arrangements for setting up five membership camps in the Walled City, where party chairman Imran Khan would visit ahead of his April 29 public meeting at Minar-i-Pakistan. MPA Shoaib Siddiqui visited the Walled City and urged the workers to get ready for the big day.
