NOWSHERA: Twelve of the 20 lawmakers of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, who were issued show-cause notices by Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf on charges of selling votes during the Senate elections, threatened to disclose ‘secrets’ of PTI chief Imran Khan and Chief Minister Pervez Khattak if they did not tender apology within 15 days.

Addressing a press conference here on Monday, the lawmakers said that the chief minister had lost majority in the assembly and he should immediately resign on moral grounds.

Those who attended the meeting included Qurban Ali Khan, Yaseen Khalil, Wajihuz Zaman, Zahid Durrani, Obaidullah Mayar, Javed Naseem, Nageena Khan, Abdul Haq, Zareena Khan, Naseem Hayat, Khatoon Bibi and Meraj Hamayoun. They gathered at the hujra of Qurban Ali Khan to review the situation following issuance of show-cause notices to them by the PTI chief and draw a future line of action.

On this occasion, Abdul Haq, adviser to chief minister on inter-provincial coordination, announced his resignation from the slot of adviser as well as membership of PTI.

Interestingly, the MPAs tore the show-cause notices during the press conference and termed it a mockery. They said that the party chief first levelled allegations and then sent them show-cause notices. They said that they would move court against Imran Khan and Pervez Khattak.

They also appealed to chief justice of Pakistan to take suo moto action on baseless allegations against them otherwise they would take solid steps in that connection.

They alleged that Chief Minister Pervez Khattak was involved in selling and buying MPAs during the Senate elections. They asked the chief minister to disclose how members had been bought.

They alleged that Imran Khan and Pervez Khattak had initiated bus project and destroyed beauty of Peshawar just for commission. They denied the allegations and said that they had not sold their votes and alleged that chief minister was involved in it. They said that some MPAs had received money in the Chief Minister’s House.
