Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shahid Khan has made an offer to buy Wembley Stadium from the English Football Association (FA).
The FA says its board was informed of the offer at a meeting on Thursday. Wembley first opened as English soccer’s national stadium in 1923 and reopened after being rebuilt in 2007.
A buyout of Wembley by Khan, who also owns London soccer club Fulham, could increase the prospect of having an NFL franchise in the British capital.
In a statement on the potential purchase of Wembley, the NFL says “we are very happy for Shad Khan and the Jacksonville Jaguars”.
Khan has owned Fulham since 2013, the same year the Jaguars started playing annual regular-season NFL games in London.

Congratulations to Shahid Khan a Pakistani American for his achievements. For the interest of readers I must say some lines about an Indian American businessman cum Philanthropist Mr Manoj Bhargava, his Co is famous for producing 5- hour Energy Drink, amazingly he invest 99% of his fortunes to fix the world .As per Forbes Report he's the wealthiest Indian in America. It would be wonderful if our Shahid Khan joins the philanthropic efforts with Manoj Bhargava, to help the institutions and organizations engaged in philanthropy.

Mr. Khan, I am following the news about your success for more than 30 years. I wish you very best and pray for your more success. My request is to you; would you please do some Philanthropy work in Pakistan, such as opening a hospital for poor or opening a series of schools in all over Pakistan which provide a quality education for poor people.

@Mahen - those who have looted Pakistan sent their money abroad, you want someone who worked for his money in America to invest in Pakistan? Mind boggling.

@Gen Akthar ret. Mr. Shahid khan has a humble begining from Lahore, Pakistan. He came on a student visa and earned an engineering degree from University of Illinous at Urbana - Champaign which is a govt funded university.
He hS made most of the money by manufacturing light weight auto bumpers. He has built
bumper plants in Europe and Asia except Pakistan. He donates millions of dollars every year to his alma mater, a govt funded university (State of Illinois) at Urbana but not a penny to any hospital or school in Pakistan. Indian origin millionaires contribute huge sums to politicians for favors to their community/ country. its very unfotunate that his contribution to the Pakistani community in USA or his country is zero.
