DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Four people, including a local tribesman and three tourists, were gunned down by unidentified assailants in Momi Karam area of South Waziristan Agency on the night between Friday and Saturday.

Sources said that the victims had pitched a tent for the night in the Momi Karam area and were sleeping there when the assailants first shot them dead and later set fire to the tent.

The victims were identified as Hassan Yar Mehsud of the Mehsud tribe, and Suleman, Ishaq and Assadullah from Dera Ismail Khan.

An official of the political administration, Akhlaq Ahmad Khan Bangash, confirmed the incident. Nobody has accepted responsibility for the killings.
