NAROWAL: A teenager was arrested for allegedly raping a minor girl, who was admitted to district headquarters hospital in a critical condition.

The six-year-old girl of Class II was playing in the street near her house when her 17-year-old cousin took her to a nearby farmhouse and allegedly raped her.

He fled from the scene after leaving her in a critical condition.

When the girl’s family members found her missing, they started looking for her and found her in a serious condition at the farmhouse.

Her family took her to a private hospital and later shifted her to the DHQ hospital where samples were collected for a medical report and sent to a laboratory in Lahore. Initial medical reports indicated the minor had been raped.

According to the doctors at the DHQ Hospital, the girl is out of danger and under treatment.

Her father alleged that the suspect who raped her had also sexually assaulted his nine-year-old son three months ago, but he could not take legal action against the suspect due to pressure from fellow villagers and family members.

“The suspect is pressurising me to reach a compromise and I’m not getting justice,” he added.

On the father’s application, Zafarwal police station registered a case against the suspect under Section 376 of the PPC and arrested him.
