ISLAMABAD: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Wednesday indicted three suspects in the murder case of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Dr Imran Farooq.
ATC judge Shahrukh Arjumand issued the charge sheet to the accused under various sections of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) and Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA), 1997, related to the murder, abetment and hatching a conspiracy to kill.
Two of the suspects, Shamim and Syed Mohsin Ali, have recorded their confessional statements before the magistrate, alleging that the MQM leader was eliminated because he was a “potent threat to the leadership of the MQM”.
The third suspect, Moazzam Ali, has not recorded a confessional statement yet.
Shamim confessed that Farooq’s murder was a “birthday gift” for MQM founder Altaf Hussain, while Mohsin’s statement revealed that he took part in the crime because he was promised a position in the party’s London secretariat.
On Dec 5, 2015, the FIA registered a case against the MQM chief and other party leaders for their alleged involvement in the 2010 murder.
Farooq was murdered near his residence in Green Lane, Edgware, in September 2010.

The govt/military/sc is requested to bring this so called leader back. Generations have been lost because of him while he stay afloat in UK and does skeet shooting. Who funds all this?!?

Someone in Pakistan must have known the whole plot. Find and arrest those instead of useless efforts to bring Altaf Hussain from London. As well what about those criminals involved in 12 May incident killing 48 innocent humans and Baldia factory fire killing nearly 300 and injuring many many others?

what about uzair baloch who confessed killing mohajirs, what about zulfiqar mirza who confessed providing weaopons to gang war not for fireworks but killings, what about Asif zardari who praised rao anwer for killing mohajirs? why system exclude every to be unaccountable when act of violence against Mohajirs like it happened in case the of Dr Farooq sattar coordinator killing

This fabricated case, made by Ch Nisar, culprit is Altaf who is free, these 2 poor persons in jail without any FIR, and 1 person is in jail since 2 1/2 yrs all these three with out justice, now today challan produce in court, funny thing in this case is that murder happened in London, two nominated persons arrived from Sri Lanka, arrested and not produce in court, third person arrest from Karachi waited for 2 1/2 yrs for challan, The case at ATC Islamabad, why not PAK authority hand over these three person to UK police who are right place for case and justice.

Crime was commited in UK. Please hand these criminals who have "confessed" to the UK government so that justice can be delivered to Imran Farooq. But UK probably does not want to fry this fish.
