RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) on Wednesday conducted operation against illegal land use and sealed Taj Mahal Marquee, Adiala Road.

RDA Land Use and Building Control wing’s staff including superintendent Building Control, building inspectors and others carried out the operation and sealed Taj Mahal Marquee in Mouza Dhagal, Adiala Road as the owner failed to produce non-objection certificate from the RDA.

The owner of the property constructed the marquee in violation of Punjab Development of Cities Act 1976 and RDA Building and Zoning Regulations 2007.

According to a press release, divisional commissioner Nadeem Aslam Chaudhry has directed the Building Control Wing to take strict action against illegal constructions and commercial activities without any fear and favour.
