KARACHI: The Sindh-Balochistan boxing series ended in a blaze of glory for local outfit but by demonstrating awesome form and fitness, the visitors made their mark while capturing the seniors title as curtain fell on the event at Ustad Ali Mohammad Qambrani Stadium, Kakri ground, on Tuesday.

Overall, Sindh annexed 15 of the 23 gold medals that were decided in seniors, juniors and women. Almost half of the Sindh’s winning tally was contributed by women who swept all the seven golds.

Balochistan dominated the seniors’ category winning six out of 10 finals and giving local boxers a lesson on their home ground. Their remaining two golds came through the courtesy of juniors.

Chairman of the Pakistan Boxing Federation (PBF) Doda Khan Bhutto and Senator Mohammad Yousuf Baloch graced the closing ceremony and gave away the prizes.
