ATTOCK: The Civil Defense Department has chalked out a comprehensive security plan for Ramazan bazaaes, said an official on Tuesday.

District Civil Defense Officer Aqeel Khattak was talking to dawn during his visit to a Ramazan bazaar.

He said the civil defense department’s volunteers would search and sweep all Ramazan bazaars in district Attock.

Giving the details, Aqeel Khattak said six Ramzan bazaars had been established in each tehsil of the Attock district and volunteers.

He said that 50 Civil Defence Volunteers would be available in every tehsil. During these Ramazan bazaars above hundreds volunteers will be available to handle any emergencies at tehsil level.

He also said the volunteers were well trained in the field of security, search, sweep, first aid, fire fighting and rescue. During Ramazan a 24/7 control room will also be established in the Civil Defence Office, Attock.

Bomb Disposal Team will be on a standby, he said, adding he himself will look after the overall activities.

Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Rana Akbar Hayat said on Tuesday that District Administration will provide foolproof security to all mosques and Imam Bargahs during Ramazan.

Talking to media here he said that all law enforcement agencies would provide security to mosques, imambargahs and Ramazan bazaars.
