Most of you must be excited about the long break from school and a lot of things planned for summer have planned many things accordingly. There will still be those fretting over the hot weather and unwilling to do any outdoor activity. So for the latter lot, let’s dig into something real smart to occupy them in the comfort of their own home at www.jam.com. It’s a website with interesting online courses focussing kids as young as seven years to up to 16 years.

The cool and clean interface of the site will make you comfortable to navigate through various courses and decide which one you really want to join in. The courses are divided according to the two age groups: younger kids (7-12) and older kids (10-16).

For younger kids, the courses include, “Drawing Bootcamp” with 87 projects, then there is “Built your own machines” with 113 projects, “Build anything with LEGO” with 30 projects and “Cook for Yourself” with 23 projects.

The courses for the older kids include, “Secrets of Drawings” with 49 projects, “Mad Science”, “Animate your Drawings”, “Become a Music Star”, etc., with all having the number of projects mentioned below them and two options for trying it free or gift the course (to some deserving kid).

The animation course is in partnership with Cartoon Network, it is free for any students and parents who sign up. Others cost $99 for a course that is available to students for up to one year, with two-week free trial period.

The good thing about doing a course on JAM is that you can interact through a bot interface. It helps answer basic questions and advance you through various activities you need to complete or master a new skill.

When you join a course on JAM, you join a community online; your work will be seen by everyone and as you begin a new quest, or section of a course, JAM prompts you to take a look at the work done by other members to get inspiration and ideas.

To start a course, all you need to do is register first and venture into the world of fun and education at www.jam.com
