KARACHI: A superlative unbroken century partnership between Fouz-ul-Hasan and Mohammad Waqas plus sensational bowling from Bilal Javed spurred Omar Colts to a 20-run victory over SAICA Brighto in 31st Aga Khan Gymkhana Ramazan Twenty20 Cricket Tournament on Thursday.

Electing to bat first, Omar Colts reached 182-5 on the back of the 117-run stand between Fouz (86 off 42 balls with 11 fours and three sixes) and Waqas (35 off 21 balls, five fours).

Slow left-armer Mohammad Ali Yousuf grabbed three wickets for 24 runs while pacer Mohammad Faizan took 2-40.

It was then Bilal’s turn to show his left-arm spin bowling skills with brilliant figures of five for 26 to restrict SAICA Brighto to 162-9.

Raees Butt (59 off 45 balls, six fours and two sixes) and skipper Sabir Hussain (48 off 26 balls), five fours and three sixes) were leading run-getters.

Bilal was later declared man-of-the-match.
