DERA GHAZI KHAN: Former PML-N MPA and member of the Leghari group Javed Akhtar Lund joined the Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI) here on Friday.

Mr Lund was first elected MPA in 2002 on the ticket of the Farooq Leghari-led National Alliance from PP-242. In 2008, he contested for the MPA seat from the PML-Q but could not win the seat .He was elected MPA in 2013 as an independent candidate and later joined the PML-N.

The tribal elder of the Lund tribe, Mr Lund joined the PTI. His decision to join the PTI is a loss to the Leghari group of the PML-N in the district. His constituency falls in NA-190 where from former governor and tribal chief of the Khosa tribe Zulfiqar Khosa is the PTI candidate.
