KARACHI: Top Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf leadership of Karachi, including its chief Imran Khan and key figures of its Sindh chapter, will contest the general elections from Karachi, a senior party leader said.

He said though the names of candidates for majority of Karachi constituencies were not finalised yet, the electoral board had nominated Imran Khan, Dr Arif Alvi, Ali Zaidi and Saif ur Rahman as party candidates from Karachi for National Assembly seats.

“Imran Khan would contest from NA-243 that includes blocks of Gulshan-i-Iqbal and Gulistan-i-Jauhar and parts of Bahadurabad and Sharfabad,” he said.

“Similarly PTI Karachi president Ali Zaidi will contest from NA-244 that includes areas of Defence View, Akhtar and Manzoor colonies, Gulshan-i-Jamal, Azam Basti, Chanesar Goth and others. Dr Arif Alvi has been nominated for NA-247 that consists of Defence and Clifton localities. Saif ur Rahman who is vice president of party’s Karachi chapter will be contesting from NA-242 which consists of residential and commercial blocks in Scheme 33 or localities along the Superhighway.”
