KARACHI: The Anti-Car Lifting Cell (ACLC) of police on Monday claimed to have busted a gang of motorcycle lifters by arresting its two members in a raid at KDA Chowrangi in North Nazimabad.

ACLC SSP Syed Asad Raza said that 12 stolen motorcycles were seized from Abdullah Aslam Parekh and Abdullah, adding that the gang they belonged to had stolen 125 motorbikes in the city so far.

The gang used to sell stolen motorcycles to a person, Ghulam Rasool, in Balochistan for Rs20,000-Rs40,000, he said. “The suspects are important and active members of the gang,” the SSP said, recalling that Parekh had earlier been arrested in 2016 and one of the gang members, Kamran alias Langra, was arrested a few days ago.
