A curfew was imposed in Srinagar because Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi came to the capital of the occupied territory to inaugurate the Kishanganga dam, built in violation of the World Bank-sponsored Indus waters treaty of 1960.
It is one of the six hydro-electric projects India is building in occupied Kashmir to steal Pakistan’s water. Pakistani leaders have not shown the necessary alarm against Indian designs. They are more interested in buying property overseas. If we had cast our votes in favour of honest politicians the situation would have not been what it is today. Let us note that Modi master-minded the slaughter of 2,000 Muslims in Gujarat and he has made it known that he wants to destroy Pakistan. He is a cruel man.
The only choice for Pakistanis is unity. Only unity can help build a powerful Pakistan that will be able to stand up to India’s design to steal all of water that morally and legally belongs to Pakistan.
I have no doubt the time will soon come when Kashmir will be free and be part of a prosperous Pakistan.
