ISLAMABAD: Keeping their winning streak intact, Pakistan’s players dominated on the second day of the Borneo Junior Squash Open being held in Malaysia, as all promising players except one reached the next round on Thursday.

According to the results released by the Pakistan Squash Federation, Yaseen Khattak of Pakistan lost to Malaysian Tay Jung in U-13 the match 11-8, 10-12, 8-11, 11-8, 6-11 at the Sarawak Squash Centre in Petra Jaya.

In U-15, Pakistan’s Noor Zaman caused an upset as he defeated fifth seed Australian Curtis Oscar 12-10, 11-6, 11-9.

Mohammad Ammad, another Pakistani, overcame Malaysia’s Tang Baranard in the second round 11-3, 11-8, 9-11, 11-6 while Ammad’s compatriot Mohammad Hamza outplayed Malaysian Parakash Levinish 11-5, 11-7, 11-2.

In U-17 matches involving Pakistanis, Hammad Khan beat Malaysian Gan Ian 10-12, 11-5, 11-3, 11-5 and Khushal Riaz Khan defeated Lee Danish of Hong Kong 11-2, 13-11, 11-4.

In U-19, Pakistan’s Zeeshan Zeb outclassed Malaysian Jong Jiang of Malaysia 11-1, 11-1, 11-6.
