We all know how Turkey foiled the infamous coup d'état attempt in 2016 and stood firmly behind democratic forces rather than...forces.
Their commitment to democracy was again evident in the whopping 86.7% turnout in their presidential election on Sunday. For comparison, the voter turnout in 2013 general elections in Pakistan was a mere 55.02%.
