LAHORE: Tenth seed Kashif Asif stunned second seed Israr Ahmad by ousting him from the first round of the SNGPL Pakistan International Squash Circuit-II here at the Punjab Squash Complex on Wednesday.

Kashif, who is a wildcard entry, started the match exceptionally well and put Israr under tremendous pressure right from the word go.

Israr, a well experienced international, failed to come up with his original game and bowed down to little-known Kashif with the scores being 11/8, 9/11, 11/9 11/3, 11/6. Kashif required 49 minute on the court to earn the finest victory of his career.

Danish Atlas Khan, who staged a comeback in the squash circuit after a long time, also suffered a defeat at the hands of Ahsan Ayyaz who won 11/9, 10/12, 11/6, 11/8. The match lasted 68 minutes.
