MULTAN: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf District President Ijaz Hussain Janjua has announced boycotting the election campaign of PTI candidate for NA-155 Amir Dogar over the ticket ‘dispute’ whereas party’s district head in Sahiwal Rao Naseem Hashim has decided to contest election as an independent candidate against ticket holder Muhammad Shah Khagga from NA-145, (Pakpattan I)

Addressing a press conference here on Monday, Mr Janjua, who was accompanied by other local leaders, claimed that he had submitted his nomination papers for PP-216 with the consent of Shah Mehmood Qureshi. He said later the ticket was awarded to Nadim Qureshi on the ‘pressure’ of Mr Dogar.

He said party workers would boycott the election campaign of Mr Dogar. In Sahiwal, PTI District President Rao Naseem at news conference on Monday announced contesting election as an independent candidate against his party nominee Muhammad Shah Khagga from-NA 145, (Pakpattan I).

Likewise, Mansib Ali Dogar [of PML-N] is contesting election as an independent candidate as well.
