A student of chartered accountancy in Karachi committed suicide on Thursday evening after he reportedly did not achieve desirable results in his recently-held examinations, police said.
Sabur, 21, shot himself in his home in Block 19 of Gulistan-e-Jauhar, said Gulshan SP Ghulam Murtaza Bhutto.
Relatives took away his body to the Aga Khan University Hospital, the officer added.
Initial probe revealed that Sabur was reportedly upset over the result he obtained in an exam for chartered accountancy, which may have been the possible reason that led him to end his life, SP Bhutto said.
Police are investigating the case to further ascertain the facts, the officer added.

Dying is easy. Living is hard. He gave up, but I don't blame him. In America teen suicide is more common because of the pressure parents put on students to get top grades and go to medical school, etc.

Students must think twice before choosing CA as profession. The success of passing has numerical constraints hence only best are cleared. It's a very tragic and sad happening. RIP.

I feel CA deliberately passes a certain percentage of students each time.

CA system in Pak produces more psychos than qualifieds.. people should only be allowed to start CA if they are good with numbers. In contrast, almost everyone can start CA in current system but only a few are able to pass it. The rest struggle in the rest of their lives because of lack of any other skill that could have been achieved if the hadn't started CA in the first place.

Only best are cleared, I don't agree with your statement. As hard work and luck both work parallel. But it is not necessary that only some always rankers or good grader do achieve but anyone can else but first start believing yourself and stop comparing yourself with others.

Whatever the reason is. Suicide is not an option or solution either. The one who is willing to take his life and die is the one who has all the more reasons to live.
