Fatal selfie

Published July 11, 2018

THE trend of taking selfies is very popular these days. Everyone has become obsessed with it, especially the youth. People have tried different tricks to get a unique picture, and for that they are ready to put their lives in danger.

Recently in Gujranwala two girls fell into the Chenab canal while taking a picture; one was rescued but the other one died. The younger generation has attempted different stunts such as one-wheeling on motorcycles and taking snaps in front of railway tracks to get the perfect selfie.

These are then shared over social media in order to get likes and appreciation. It is necessary that they understand that life is more valuable than a picture. This selfie trend has to stop as soon as possible so that in the future there are no more selfie-related accidents and deaths.
